Hilaire Belloc letters and poem, 1891-1935.

The collection consists of three items: letter to Dear Mrs. Charles, 4 July 1891, regretting that he has not seen more of her, with local news and observations; typewritten letter to Dear Storrs, 12 April 1935, recounting his travels and expressing pleasure that Storrs praised his book; poem, illustrated with sketches of a ship, a figure, a landscape, and a flutophone-type instrument, with the first line, As one who hath sent forth in bold surprise. Also, envelope, with a note, dated 1955, indicating Miss Collins, G.K. Chesterton's secretary, affirmed the enclosure (presumably the poem) was written by Belloc.
